Latin Dance Fiesta

Doors open at 6pm for a fun family night of Latin Dance. To start the night Anthea Pert of 'A Glimpse Of Africa Pty ltd' will conduct a dance lesson at 6.30pm which will help ease you through the night. Dances covered will be Meringue and Cha cha cha, so don’t miss this opportunity to get into the groove. You can bring a plate and enjoy the festival atmosphere with your family and friends. So a great time can be had by all, whether you’re an avid Latin dance fan or just an observer, its bound to be a fantastic family night out.

Son Con Clave, a traditional Cuban quartet from Brisbane’s Latin Scene will make you want to try out those freshly learned grooves from 8pm. The professional group of musicians will present the joyful and upbeat sound of famous 40's & 50's Cuban ensembles like the Buena Vista Social Club,Sierra Maestro and Tres De La Havana.Son Con Clave mixes Spanish melodies with African rhythms. Percussion, brass, piano and vocals carry their repertoire ranging from Cha Cha Cha to Bolero and from Guajira to Son, which is the root of today’s popular Salsa music.
